I have not really been knitting much in the last 10 days since I stopped working 10 days ago. It is nice to have a break. But I have had fun. I went to set some things up in my new house in Maryland. I then spent 4th of July in Washington DC, watching the palisades parade, eating a lot of pig, and hanging out with the family, which is always fun.

Then it was back to NYC. My mom came to visit and we have done some fun things in the last 3 days. We went to see Giselle on Tuesday night, performed by the American Ballet Theater at the Metropolitan Opera House. It was a lot of fun. Then yesterday we went to the Met and Ashley came too to see the Turner exhibit. Then we saw A Chorus Line last night. Nothing like being a tourist in your own city, even if it is not mine for much longer.

I am headed to the beach for the weekend, so maybe I will get some knitting done there. For now, I am watching a movie, so maybe I will pull something out.
